Umbra is a planet in the Golabra galaxy. There has been a war going on for 45 years now. Saskia, and any other character who wishes to join, arrive in Umbra to find the land stricken and most of it dead.
There is an evil, unknown emperor who started the war by bringing in his army of super strong beings, who where a body suit and are of an un-known origin. The emperor is thought to be a warlord, but no-one has gotten a close enough look at him. They think he came for a reason more then power, as there are planets with far more to offer.
It's your job to find out who the emperor is and what he wants! Enjoy...

Saskia stepped out of her portal, and looked around her. Her senses were super, she could hear any sound from miles away, and see every detail as far as the horizon.
Around her now, was ice. Her body could stand extreme temperatures, so she didn't have to worry about clothes or warmth. Her eyes matched in colour to the landscape around her. The temperature was well below freezing, but was a nice touch to her skin.
She took in her surroundings, as Robyn stepped out of the portal behind her. They had been here before. But it had not been like this; war stricken and dead. They had received a call for help from this planet, and had come to see what was wrong. There was nothing around them for miles. "Well, let's go," Saskia said, walking off in a general direction she believed the sea to be. Robyn, the love of her eternal life, walked by her side.

Alicia dropped out of her portal. "I'llhave t work on that landing," she muttered to herself. She pulled the hood of her cloak on, guarding against the cold. She was from a desert planet & always found the below- freezing temperatures of winter planets disturbing. But she had intercepted a cry someone had posted to one Saskia Locke asking for help. Alicia had been suspicious before, but now, looking out at the barren wasteland that had once been Umbra, she knew for certain: this stank of warloard. She raised her head to the wind & sniffed. The Alicia started in the direction that the recent smoke was coming from, looking for fire. OOC: we dont know for sure if this is a warloard, but Alicia has bad warloard experiences, so she blames everything on them.

OOC: ok
IC: Saskia was standing in front of a steaming pile of ash, left over from what used to be a house. It had recently been burned down, but she had missed the culprits. She heard someone walking about a kilometre away and looked up. Coming over a ridge was another Immortal.

Alicia walked over the ridge, what felt like the 500th one so far, & was suprised to see more life signs there were two figures below, looking at the remains of a village. They looked like Immortals, not warloards, but she couldn't be sure they were friendly. Alicia prepared to duck back behind a hill when one of the figures looked up at her. They locked eyes & Alicia tried to read what they said, but they were expresionless. Knowing she was caught, she put her hands in the air to show she held no weapons (though really, they were packed aoll over her body) & walked down the hill slowly. "My guess is you're Saskia Locke," she said to the vampire.

OOC: vampire? dontcha mean immortal...
IC: "You guess right," said Saskia, "And who are you?"
"Alicia." "Do you know anything about what has gone on here?" asked Saskia. Saskia observed the girl, noting several weapons on her person. Saskia didn't worry - she had some too. Alicia's eyes flicked to Robyn, and Saskia quickly introduced him, the waited for her reply.

Alicia explored one side of the village while Saskia & Robin covered the other. She went into a half standing hut. In one corner was a straw mat. In the middle was the remains of a table & a decimated fireplace. As she looked closer however, Alicia found a small notebook. She opened it up & read the first page: [glow=red,2,300]Dear Dairy, I overheard Mama talking today of how there was talk of a war waged on the master. She would be shocked if she knew i knew. But nobody tells me anything around here, so I'm left to my own devices. She said to Katherin Berenstein that a ruler from another galaxy was coming. Nobody seems to know when or from where, not even the master. This os what sares me. How can he protect us if he doesn't know anything? I know I shouldn't criticize the master. Such actions result in death. That's why noone must ever find these pages. Saskia dissapeared 200 yrs ago today. How I miss her! she was my big sister. On a lighter note, I get my first hair cut today. Here's a lock I'm sticking in. That's it for now. I'll keep you posted. Forever yours, Luna[/glow] Alicia gasped, suprised. Saskia was from here? No wonder she had gotten the cry for help. Was Luna the one who had sent it? Why had she left? While these questions buzzed in her head, she heard Saskia call for her. She tucked the diary in her bag & stepped out of the hut that had once been a home... OC: is it ok how i brought Saskia into this?

OOC: wasn't what i was expecting, but nice twist!
IC:
Saskia stared around at the barren world around her. In a way it was beautiful, endless snowy plains... huge pine trees reaching up to the sky. Tears collected in her eyes. Here, she had once lived. As a normal person, with family. She had come here when she was 400 years old, and sick of life. She had not yet met Robyn, and had been depressed. She had not asked for her eternal life, and did not want it. So she had come to Umbra, and sought a family.
Flashback... "Where is she?" Lacreya's voice pierced the cave, and the manacles that bound Saskia vibrated. How easily she could break them, but she didn't. Saskia regarded Lacreya. "Who?" Lacreya lashed out, and Saskia felt pain. "That pathetic Umbrian you call a sister. Tell me where she is!" Saskia smiled. "Don't know what you're talking about." Lacreya brought out her knife, it's handle beautifully carved. Almost a waste to give to someone of her nature. Now, Lacreya placed it against Saskia throat. "That won't do much in your favour, Lacreya," said Saksia. "Oh?" she pressed harder, and black blood trickled down Saskia's neck. "Well, who says i can't hurt you before i kill you?" she whispered in Saksia's ear. "Me. Because you can't kill me. Believe me - people who are much more powerful have tried and failed thousands of times before you. And you'll never get Luna." "Oh, i beg to differ. I've sent out a search. They'll cover every village between here and the furthest point on this lump of rock." "And what if she isnt on this rock?" said Saskia. Lacreya brought the knife slowly across Saskia's cheek. "Oh don't worry, we'll find her. I swear."
Present day... Saskia closed her eyes and blinked the tears away. She had left Luna. She had led Lacreya and her armies across the planet, the end of which they had nothing to show for it. Then Saskia had left, unable to face this planet anymore. She had abandoned Luna and now she could never see her again.
A glint to her left attracted Saskia's attention, and she bent over to pick something up out of the snow. It was a knife, it's handle beautifully carved...

Alicia waked over, as Saskia bent over to pick up something that glinted in the sunligt with a silver hardness. As the other girl ent down, Alicia thought she could see a glint of tears in her eys. But then she stood up & they were goone. Alicia walked over, the diary concealed in her tunic. "What did you find?" she asked, guesturing to the blade in Saskia's hand.

"Luna," she whispered. "Oh, why?" THen she cleared her throat and all trace of her reminiscing was gone. Looking around, she saw that this war stricken land had been like this for a while. "Well, first we need to go to a more recently obliterated village in the hope of finding better clues. This is old. Century's old. Let's go"

They set off again, soon coming to another village, with smoke still coming off of the warm remains. "This is only a few hours old," said Alicia. "We're getting closer. Wether that's a good thing or a bad thing is beyond me."

"Mmm," Saskia agreed. They kept on walking. Then snow around them was tinged grey with soot and debris from previously burnt villages. Suddenly Saskia heard several hoof beats ahead. A group of horses were coming, and they had riders. They were behind a large boulder about a kilometre ahead, and there were a few trees scattered about the place. Saskia climbed one, Robyn climbed another and finally Alicia went up one. THen they sat back, hidden by leaves and watched as a patrol rode up.

"I don't see why we have to do this, Antonio," said one soldier. "Nothing could survive this wasteland for eight hours." "Shhh," said one of the other. "Shut your trap. Do you want Mazaran to hear that? We follow the geneeral's orders." "It's your fault we have to do this in the first place," shot back the first man. "If you hadn't been late starting your part of the fire, we'd know for sure everything was dead."
